Will we get a “Game of the Year” rematch?

If you missed the game on Monday night between the Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs, you missed one of the best games of the season. It’s becoming increasingly likely that this could end up being a Super Bowl matchup in just a few months, but the Saints might have some other plans. The Rams are one of the favourites to come out of the NFC, along with the Saints, and the Chiefs have one of the best offenses in the AFC. It was clear early in the season that the Week 11 game between these two teams would be the most entertaining game of the regular season, and it definitely lived up to the hype.

Eli Manning’s time with the Giants is nearing an end

As Eli Manning’s career is winding down, he’s starting to look more and more like his older brother Peyton did by the end of his. The only issue is that Eli doesn’t have an absolutely stacked defense to carry him to one last Super Bowl win before he hangs up the cleats for good. Instead, Manning is caught in the middle of a team torn between trying to rebuild and trying to compete in the NFC East. The Giants are not a good team, but they’ve committed money to some elite players, most notably Odell Beckham, Jr. They also have a star rookie running back in Saquon Barkley who already looks deserving of Todd Gurley and Le’Veon Bell comparisons.

Despite those few bright spots, things in New York are getting worse by the week. Last week, Beckham decided to take the offense into his own hands and throw the ball himself.

The Highs and Lows of the NFL

Being a kicker in the NFL is not an easy job, just ask Zane Gonzalez or Daniel Carlson. Both kickers are looking for a new home since being released after less than impressive performances in Week 2. Gonzalez missed 4 kicks during the Browns 21-18 loss, including 2 extra point attempts and a potential game-tying field goal late in the game. Carlson had an equally tough game, missing three attempts including two in overtime in the Vikings 29-29 tie against the Packers. Let this serve as a friendly reminder that kicking a football is not as easy as it looks.  Read more
